Informational Meeting on Electronic Web-Based Student Portfolios

Event occurred on August 7th, 2004 8am @ Memorial Union

You are invited to join other campus colleagues who are interested in exploring the potential for electronic web-based student portfolios on our campus. A breakfast informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 7th, 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Union, TITU, "e-Portfolio." Note that the continental breakfast will be available starting at 7:30 a.m.

The agenda includes a brief overview of what the School of Education has already developed in e-portfolios, what peer institutions are doing, and discussion among participants of how e-portfolios might benefit students and eventually faculty and staff at UW-Madison through teaching and research portfolios. Carol Schramm, DoIT's LTDE and Kathleen Paris, Office of Quality Improvement are co-leading a feasibility study to determine the interest in and need for electronic portfolios.
